Getting on a routine for a healthy sleep schedule should be the first step. To achieve this you can take some steps like avoiding naps in the daytime. Limit or stop drinking caffeine altogether. Go to bed at the same time every night. Wake up at the same time every morning. Stick to your schedule during the weekends too. Spend an hour before bed meditating or reading. Relaxing activities will calm your racing mind and prepare you for deep sleep. Avoid eating two hours before bedtime. Don’t use electronic devices in bed. Exercise regularly but not at night near your bedtime.
